It's Time For A Cuppa With Dementia UK

From the 1st-8th of May Dementia UK will be hosting their annual Time For A Cuppa fundraising event. Whether you know someone impacted by Dementia UK or you want to help the cause, here's how to get involved with Time For A Cuppa.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia.

We've been proud to support Dementia UK for years through the sales of our Christmas Charity Packs. 50p from the sale of every pack goes directly to Dementia UK to help them do more to protect and care for people.

Time for a Cuppa is Dementia UK’s annual tea party fundraising event. It’s a fantastic way to get together with friends, family or colleagues to share cake and a cuppa and raise vital funds for families facing dementia.

Making Time for a Cuppa couldn’t be easier – simply pick a date, choose your venue and invite your guests. You can hold an event wherever you like: at home, at work, in a care home or in your local community. You can chat and share ideas with your fellow hosts by joining the Time for a Cuppa Facebook Group .

By the time you’ve boiled your kettle, another person will have developed dementia. Over 982,000 people in the UK are affected by the condition – and if someone you love is living with dementia, you’re living with it too.

Our charity partner Dementia UK believes every family facing dementia should have the support of a specialist nurse – but right now, they can’t reach everyone who needs them.

Making Time for a Cuppa can change that. Every penny will help more families access the life-changing support specialist dementia nurses.
