Thinking of You Week 2018

25 September 2018

Now in its fifth year , Thinking of You Week (24 – 30th Sept 2017) inspires people to create a wave of love, caring and happiness by sending greeting cards to different people during the week. Sending cards generates positive feelings and wellbeing. Science has shown that receiving a handwritten card is far more personal, creates a lovely warm positive boost and makes people feel far more special than receiving texts, emails or social media messages.
This Year, James Mace from The Art File team headed to Nottingham Children’s Hospital, at the Queens Medical Centre to deliver some cards! Having a selection of cards to choose from on the wards allows children to send cards home to their family, friends and loved ones. Nurses and Doctors on the wards also encourage parents, friends and visitors to write cards to the children they're visiting, creating a wave of positivity and thoughtfulness at difficult times.

This is the fourth  year James has been doing this for now - and it's an absolute pleasure to be invited back by the hospital year after year for this fantastic event.
Alongside this, Behind The Red Door (The Art File's Retail Shop) has been getting involved too, offering a free card writing and postal service in store during the week.
