The Art File - Scotland's Trade Fair 2020
The Art File are delighted to be returning to exhibit at Scotland’s Trade Fair from 19th – 21st January. Visit us at stand G35 to browse our fantastic new collections.
We have been extremely busy over the past few months, with our award-winning in-house design team producing some beautiful new collections as well as collaborating with our fantastic external artists. We have recognised that our customers are in need of high-quality Scottish product due to the increased number of tourists visiting Scotland and their desire for authentically Scottish product. The Art File have listened to our customers, and so our talented design team have been hard at work creating some new product in the shape of matching gift wrap and gift bags. We will be releasing two new gift packaging ranges specially designed for our Scottish audience, so make sure you’re the first to see these special collections on our stand at the show.
Our Tartan range is a true classic, but with a contemporary twist. With traditional greens and plum purples, as well as a pop of pink, our Tartan gift packaging range has something for everyone. The gift bags also feature stylish navy-blue ribbons and a refreshing yellow interior. The brilliant design team have also created something a bit different for our Scottish customers. The Thistle range beautifully contrasts royal purple and navy blue with bright green, and features a rich purple interior, gift tag and ribbon.
The Art File’s Scottish agent, Grant Gibson (07939277023), says ‘2020 is going to be a huge year for The Art File. With the launch of new Scottish products alongside the new Everyday card ranges, it’s going to be an exciting year and I’m certain the Scottish buyers will love what we have produced when we launch the products in January at Scotland’s Trade Fair, Glasgow. I am also excited about the stunning new Christmas products for 2020 as this launch is our best range to date and it’s going go down a storm at Spring Fair.'
Edinburgh’s Chalan Field of Pie in the Sky state ‘we love stocking Art File cards as the product ranges are always diverse and on trend - the Edinburgh card is one of our top sellers. We also love the Ben Rothery natural history museum range’. Another Scottish customer Paper Flower say that the quality of our gift wrap is ‘second to none’, and our gift wrap and cards alike ‘are among our top sellers. Generally speaking, we have to do an order most months, and several top ups during the festive season.'
As well as our Scottish collections, The Art File will be launching 316 new Everyday products across 8 brand new card collections, 5 exciting range extensions, and 4 gift wrap collections. Our brand-new ranges include a remarkably forward-thinking collection named Sakura Heights inspired by Japanism, a growing trend for next year. Sakura Heights features cranes, koi, bamboo, and of course the cherry blossom tree that the collection is named after - the cherry blossom, or Sakura, is a highly respected symbol in Japan. Our in-house design team have also created the eye-catching collection of birthday and occasion cards for men that we have aptly named Vertigo due to the fact that a vertigo sensation is created by the clever designs.
The Art File is thrilled to introduce our collaboration with the popular external artist Kate Heiss: Nature Trail. This collection is inspired by the beautiful natural landscapes of East Anglia and combines Kate’s love of florals, bold colours and geometric patterns. The heavy debossing and bright colours accentuate the designs beautifully, which have been created by linocut printing. The paper is fondly sourced from the James Cropper paper mill in Cumbria, one of the oldest paper mills in the country, and only vegetable inks are used in the production process. This collection has a universal appeal, and we’re sure it will look fantastic in garden centres and farm shops alike.
Additionally, The Art File are proud to deliver their environmental strategy for 2020 and beyond. All 10 of The Art File’s new Everyday card collections will be unwrapped (or nested) as standard from their January 2020 launch. All range extensions to continuing Everyday collections will be launched wrapped - this is to fall in line aesthetically with the rest of the collection, keeping our customers needs in mind. These collections will, over time, gradually transition into the entire collection being supplied unwrapped (or nested) as standard. All of The Art File’s new Everyday greeting card launches will also be available clasped (a specially designed easy-peel branded clasp that keeps the card and envelope neatly together), or cello wrapped. All they ask is for an extra few working days lead time if the stock is required clasped or wrapped. The choice is yours!
